Objective: Focuses on projects which improve the quality of 3D content for the home audience.
Priorities:
- Develop guidelines for improving the quality of 3D content production
- Define mastering methodologies and metadata necessary for successful 3D content distribution
- Develop best practices for the workflow in 3D content creation
Current Activity:
The team has formed a advisory committee to define 3D quality. These 8 experienced advisors are pulling together their perspectives, expertise and knowledge on 3D content creation to define what a 'high-quality' stereoscopic 3D experience it. This information will be posted as columns, articles, videos and graphics on this website, as well as parts recreated in a document for distribution. The team is also overseeing the development of a Production Tools database to include rigs, cameras, and software.
